Band 7 Echocardiographer (Clinical Physiologist)

Are you a BSE-accredited Echocardiographer looking for your next locum opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Highly Specialised Clinical Physiologist to join a busy and supportive Cardiac Physiology service.


This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated cardiac diagnostics team, delivering high-quality echocardiography services and making a meaningful impact on patient care.


The Role


As a Band 7 Echocardiographer, you will:

• Perform and independently report adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Deliver accurate and high-quality cardiac investigations.
• Work closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of cardiac patients.
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice and documentation.

Essential Requirements


✅ BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology or equivalent specialist qualification
✅ Extensive post-graduate experience in Echocardiography
✅ BSE Level 2 Accreditation in Adult Echocardiography
✅ Ability to work independently within a busy Cardiology department
✅ Excellent communication and reporting skills


Contract Details


📅 Start Date: ASAP
📅 End Date: 20th December 2026
⏰ Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
